THL Stops Swine Flu Vaccinations

The Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) on Tuesday recommended that the use of the Pandemrix vaccine is suspended. The recommendation is a precautionary measure.

A possible connection between the swine flu vaccine and narcolepsy is currently being investigated. The THL has stopped the use of Pandemrix until the narcolepsy cases have been studied thoroughly.

Over the past year, neurologists in both Finland and Sweden have noted an increase in child narcolepsy cases, and suspect that this could be a harmful side effect of the swine flu vaccine.

In total, around 2.5 million Finns have received the Pandemrix vaccine, according to THL. Medical reports suggest that over 750 of those who have been vaccinated have experienced harmful effects.

A mother whose son suffered severe brain damage after he was given the controversial MMR vaccine as a baby has been awarded £90,000 compensation.

The judgment is the first of its kind to be revealed since concerns were raised about the safety of the triple jab.

Robert Fletcher, 18, is unable to talk, stand unaided or feed himself.

The Department of Health had always denied that the jab was the cause of Robert’s disability.

But now, in a judgment which will give hope to hundreds of other parents whose children have been severely affected by routine vaccinations, a medical assessment panel consisting of two doctors and a barrister has concluded that MMR was to blame.

Robert’s mother Jackie said the money would help with his care, though she described the amount as ‘derisory’.

Her first application for compensation under the Government’s Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme was rejected in 1997 on the grounds that it was impossible to prove beyond reasonable doubt what had caused Robert’s illness.

But Mrs Fletcher appealed and in a ruling delivered last week, a new panel of experts came to a different conclusion.

Cervical Cancer Jab for Girls Aged 12 Can be Given Without Parental Consent

Family rights campaigners have called for a change in the law after it was revealed that girls as young as 12 can be given the cervical cancer vaccine without their parents’ consent.

Doctors and nurses have been told they are under no legal obligation to seek the permission of the parent or guardian.

The jab is being offered to girls between 12 and 18 as part of a nationwide programme designed to protect them against the sexually transmitted HPV virus, which causes 70 per cent of cervical tumours.

Opponents have argued that giving girls the jab and protecting them against a sexually transmitted infection before they are even teenagers is giving them the go-ahead to experiment sexually.

Norman Wells, director of Family and Youth Concern, said: ‘Giving the vaccination to girls without the consent of their parents is unethical and a recipe for disaster.

'It is sending out the message that girls under 16 have a right to a private sex life and is treating parents with contempt.’

The Department of Health confirmed that parental consent was desirable but not essential.

India Halts Vaccine Programme After The Death of Four Children

Vaccine programmes grind to a halt in India once more, when four children died after they received the measles vaccination in Lucknow. The four children were reported to have fainted soon after they were vaccinated and witnesses reported seeing the children’s eyes roll back as they began to have seizures. All of the children were under the age of two years of age, with the youngest being just six months. Sadly the children died before medical aid workers could reach them.

As news of the deaths spread, immunization drives in 41 villages have been halted until further investigations have taken place.

The Indian Express stated in their article “4 children die within minutes of vaccination” that-

“The immunisation programme was being conducted as part of the government’s Jachha Bachha Suraksha Abhiyan launched on August 15. Minutes after vaccination, the children started gasping for breath.”

NDTV reported that the Health Ministry has ordered an inquiry after the four infants, all now believed to be below nine months, died after the vaccine. The inquiry team has yet to reach Uttar Pradesh, however, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced compensation for the families of the victims.

Let's take a walk down memory lane for a few moments, shall we?

Not so many months ago, in the Spring of 2009, the H1N1 virus (Swine Flu) made its grand entrance onto the media scene.

Front page articles and leading TV news stories were the order of the day. Everyone seemed petrified that this was the next flu pandemic, the ONE that would be as bad as the 1918 pandemic (Spanish flu), or at the very least, the 1968-69 Hong Kong flu outbreak.

At the time, I blogged about the ridiculousness of the situation and how folks were clearly being manipulated and primed with fear for a certain mass vaccination effort to come in the Fall 2009. In one of my very first blog posts in April 2009, I joked that this would be a great time to visit Mexico and that I was not in any way concerned about this new flu emerging.

Did I stock up on hand sanitizer or start washing my hands more frequently than normal? Are you kidding?

The sound of Big Pharma executives salivating in their corner offices (or perhaps on their yachts) was audible to anyone with a shred of common sense. After all, pandemics can be incredibly profitable events, no? Nothing opens up people's wallets quite as fast as fear.

Sure enough, with the start of school in August/September 2009, the propaganda machine cranked up in full force.
