Will the H1N1 swine flu vaccine be effective against the dangerous new H1N1 mutation that has been confirmed in Ukraine, Norway, Brazil, China and France?  According to the New York Times, Britain’s national medical laboratory reported on Friday that it has been determined that one H1N1 sample from Ukraine with the new H1N1 mutation had changed so much that the H1N1 swine flu vaccine "probably would not protect against it well".  This means that it is likely that tens of millions of people around the world are being shot up with a vaccine that will simply offer them no protection against this virulent new strain of H1N1.  If the vaccine will not do any good, then what is going to stop the spread of this potentially very dangerous new strain which is rapidly drawing comparisons to the 1918 Spanish flu?

That is a great question.  For weeks, Ukraine has been gripped by a national health crisis as nearly 2 million people have reported becoming sick with a flu-like illness.  After an unexplainable delay, the WHO finally came out and confirmed that an H1N1 mutation had been confirmed in Ukraine.  The "D225G" H1N1 mutation has also now been found in fatal or severe cases in Brazil, Norway and China.

In addition, it has just come out that this dangerous new H1N1 swine flu mutation has shown up in two dead patients in France.

France's Health Surveillance Institute is saying the following about this H1N1  mutation.....

"The mutation could increase the ability of the virus to affect the respiratory tracts and, in particular, the lung tissue."

So far the WHO appears to be at a loss to explain how the same mutation has been showing up in so many diverse places around the globe.

At this point the WHO says that it is "not sure" how dangerous this new H1N1 mutation is.  In fact, the WHO has not yet even made a formal announcement regarding the fact that tests seem to indicate that the vaccine will fail against H1N1 with the D225G mutation.  Recombinomics recently posted some very sharp comments about the WHO's seeming negligence.....

However, even though this change is drawing additional attention daily, WHO has taken a position that the vaccine failure against H1N1 with this D225G is not worthy of an announcement.

This mindset is significant cause for concern and is hazardous to the world's health.

The truth is that this mutation is a very significant development and needs to be addressed.

In Ukraine, this new strain of H1N1 has reportedly been striking directly for the respiratory systems of its victims.  Doctors on the ground in Ukraine have reported that this virus causes massive hemorrhaging in the lungs.  As the lungs rapidly fill up with blood, temperatures inside the lungs can reach temperatures of up to 135 degrees Fahrenheit.  As the victims near death, the lungs turn as black as charcoal and literally begin to disintegrate.

One doctor in western Ukraine was quoted as saying the following about what this virus is doing to victims.....

"We have carried out post mortems on two victims and found their lungs are as black as charcoal.  They look like they have been burned. It’s terrifying."

These frightening deaths are causing an increasing number of medical experts to comment on just how similar this new strain of the H1N1 swine flu seems to be to the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic.  The 1918 Spanish flu was also from the H1N1 family, and it also caused massive destruction and hemorrhaging in the respiratory systems of its victims.

In any event, the H1N1 situation around the globe is rapidly becoming more serious.....

Next door to Ukraine, approximately 1.5 million cases of acute respiratory illness and H1N1 flu have been reported in Belarus.

The European Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced that H1N1 swine flu deaths in Europe are doubling every two weeks.

In fact, the WHO just announced that the global number of confirmed H1N1 deaths jumped by more than 1,000 in just one week.

In the U.S., this past week witnessed a record number of pediatric deaths from the H1N1 swine flu.

The last seven days has also seen a record number of H1N1 swine flu deaths in the U.K.

Things have gotten so bad in Romania that it was decided that schools should close for seven days due to a severe outbreak of the H1N1 swine flu virus.

Now there are fears that the dangerous new H1N1 mutation spreading elsewhere on the globe has already reached the heartland of the United States.

Commenting on a serious spike in H1N1 swine flu deaths in Iowa, Dr. Gregory Schmunk told KCCI news that what doctors there are seeing in H1N1 patients "is very heavy, wet hemorrhagic lungs, lungs with a lot of blood in them."

That sounds frighteningly similar to what is happening in Ukraine.

While many mainstream media outlets around the world have been heralding pronouncements that the worst of the H1N1 swine flu is over, the truth is that this pandemic may just be getting started.

In the United States this comes at a time when the U.S. economy is literally falling apart, and the last things anyone needs is a major flu pandemic.  A flu outbreak that comes anywhere close to matching the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic could tip the U.S. economy into a full blown depression.

Let us all hope that H1N1 does not continue to get worse.  If it does, we could all be looking at a very grim 2010.
